Role Overview
A physical security sales representative expands the company's client base by matching business owners and property managers with physical protection assets. This role focuses heavily on contract sales for on-site personnel, mobile vehicle patrols, and event security, requiring deep consultative selling and risk-assessment skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Actively scout for new commercial, industrial, residential, and event clients through networking, cold calling, and site visits.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive physical walkthroughs of client properties to identify security vulnerabilities, blind spots, and staffing needs.
- Custom Proposals: Design custom security staffing plans, specifying guard hours, patrol frequencies, and emergency response protocols.
- Contract Negotiation: Deliver detailed service quotes, manage bidding processes (RFPs), and finalize long-term service agreements.
- Client Retention: Conduct regular follow-ups with active accounts to ensure guard performance meets expectations and to upsell additional coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B2B Sales Experience: Proven track record in business-to-business sales, contract negotiation, or service-industry sales.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of guard licensing laws, liability regulations, and physical security best practices.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust with property managers, corporate executives, and local authorities.
- Availability & Travel: Willingness to travel locally for property assessments and flexibility to attend occasional evening networking events.
